The Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) provides current information on product recalls, product warnings and prohibition orders, as well as other information on dangerous products in a comprehensive database.
For example, you will find extracts in German from the European Commission's weekly notifications in the EU rapid alert system "Safety Gate" (formerly RAPEX). Please note that the list only includes technical products that have been reported by the competent market surveillance authorities of EU Member States that have been found on the German market, that were manufactured in Germany or that could have reached Germany. The listed products pose a risk to the safety and health of their users and are governed by legislation including the Product Safety Act (ProdSG).
In addition, this is also where BAuA makes public prohibition orders pursuant to Article 31(1), in conjunction with Article 26(2) sentence 2 items 6, 7, 8 and 9 and Article 26(4), of the Product Safety Act (ProdSG).
