Guide to the filling of containers
The safe filling of organic liquids
Stationary filling of organic liquids in jerrycans, drums and IBC using a pump nozzle (SLF 212c)
Firstly, the containers are secured against tilting, taken to and positioned in the filling area. The filling device is adapted to the filling according to the size of the container opening. After the positioning of the earthed filling device with suction on the container opening and the fill quantity has been set, the filling process is started. If the filling device is not adjusted correctly or if the adjusted filling device is not flush with the container opening, the vapours to be released enter the working area; with the correct adjustment and flush positioning on the filling opening, they are adequately captured. The containers are then sealed with the appropriate equipment so that they are suitable for transport and are removed from the filling area.
