The project builds on the BAuA project F 2360 "Working time reporting for Germany". The aim of the research project is the publication and communication of findings on working time and related topics in Germany. To this end, the data from the survey on "Working time reporting for Germany" are analyzed and a second survey is carried out with the same individuals.
Data basis is a representative sample of 20,000 workers in Germany, who gave information on their employment situation, aspects of working time, as well as health and wellbeing. The results are examined under the three research focuses "socio-structural characteristics and working time", "working time and health", and "work-life balance and dissolving boundaries". The influence of the changing nature of work is taken into account in all three research areas. To describe both, the stability of correlations over time as well as changing working conditions, the participants of the survey on "Working time reporting for Germany" will be interviewed again on the aspects mentioned above.
The findings of the investigations will be made available as part of a working time report as well as in the form of scientific papers and presentations at congresses to the public and the scientific community.
