Description:
The ergonomic design of working systems with display screen equipment; which are not percieved as regular VDU's in the administration or office sector but nevertheless concerned by the VDU directive, is increasingly important. In order to realize a flexible, productive and high quality production many enterprises are setting up modern information and production technologies. The aim of the project is to develop recommendations and guidelines in order to offer support for the enterprises by analysing a number of different workplaces with display screen equipment in the production sector, which are recently also regarded as VDUs. After analysing these workplaces specific strains shall be identified. These will be the basis for the development of guidelines for the ergonomic design of VDUs in the production sector. If they had been identified, Models of Good Practice will be made available in the INQA-database. The results as well as the guidelines - and if available the Models of Good Practice - will be published in a BAuA-brochure for practitioners. It will be presented at different national and international conferences as well as in different publications. At the end of the project a workshop will be held in order to present, discuss and disseminate the results in an adequate frame.
