Description:

ERA-NET (European Research Area Network) is the central instrument of the 6th Framework Programme of the European Commission to support cooperation and coordination of research programmes carried out at national or regional level. NEW OSH ERA started in April 2006 with 18 members from 10 countries as an ERA-NET for Occupational Safety and Health (OSH). It aimed in the identification and prevention of new and emerging safety and health risks at work by promoting communication and cooperation between national funding institutions for OSH research in Europe.
After the analysis of national OSH research priorities and good practices in managing national OSH research funding, NEW OSH ERA culminated in a joint call for transnational research activities.
