Scientific use files of the 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2021 survey waves
The Working Time Survey of the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA) is designed as a panel study to investigate long-term changes in the world of work. The first survey wave took place in 2015, followed by further waves in 2017, 2019, and 2021. The population is made up of persons in employment in Germany who are at least 15 years old and work at least 10 hours a week on a regular basis.
The datasets each contain data on the following subject areas:
- Main employment and, if applicable, additional employment
- Characteristics of the employment relationship and the company
- Working-time arrangements, including flexibility and working-time variability
- Psychological and physical demands
- Well-being and satisfaction
- Socio-demographic information on the respondents
